Debra Torok
(She/Her)
Registered Clinical Counsellor
MA
Hi, I’m Debra.
I believe that healing occurs within genuine and compassionate relationships. As a fellow neurodivergent human, I am dedicated to nurturing an affirming and collaborative space where we can explore what makes you feel grounded, connected, and fulfilled. I value your wisdom from your life experience. My role is to accompany you on your journey of self-discovery and meaning-making.
My practice is anchored in person-centered, relational, and systemic values. I draw from dialectical behaviour therapy, psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, somatic and mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed and body liberation theories. As a white settler and cis-woman, living on unceded lək̓ʷəŋən territories, I am committed to learning about the harms of colonialism and I strive to practice from an anti-oppressive lens.
