Hi, I'm Leah,

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Canadian Certified Counsellor, and ADHD Coach based in Lantzville.

Since 2008, I've supported children, youth, and families as a teacher and counsellor in public education. More recently, I've worked with post-secondary students and adults navigating academic, career, and life transitions. I love helping people better understand themselves, move through challenges, and create lives that feel more aligned with who they are.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and culturally responsive care. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.

I work with both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients, drawing on experience in counselling, education, crisis response, and career development. Together, we build self-awareness, strengthen coping strategies, and develop practical tools that fit your life.

Some areas I commonly support include:
-
ADHD and executive functioning
-
Academic and career transitions
-
Anxiety, emotional regulation, and stress
-
Communication and healthy boundaries
-
Self-esteem, perfectionism, and values exploration
-
Nervous system regulation and holistic well-being

I also offer Walk & Talk Counselling and Coaching in Lantzville and select Nanaimo locations for clients who enjoy the benefits of movement and nature during sessions.

Outside of work, I find joy in the simple moments: exploring Vancouver Island’s winding trails beneath towering trees, filling my home with the aromas of a new recipe, and cheering from the sidelines as my children grow, learn, and find their place in the world.
