(She/Her)

Registered Social Worker
MSW

Hi, I'm Suzanne.

I believe you are the expert in your own life. You already hold deep insight into your strengths, your needs, and what matters most to you - I aim to offer space and support to reconnect with that clarity.

Having migrated across countries and continents multiple times, I understand what it can feel like to start over as a newcomer in a foreign place. You are rebuilding a sense of identity, belonging, and stability. I also hold an awareness of the many expectations placed on women in our society, especially when navigating work, caregiving, and life transitions.

In our work together, I aim to create a collaborative and non-judgmental space - where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. I tend to balance practical support (like communication tools, boundary-setting, and emotional regulation) with a deeper curiosity about your patterns and relationships, so that change can feel meaningful and sustainable.

My approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and grounded in feminist, anti-racist, and anti-colonial perspectives. I’m here to walk alongside you with curiosity and care as we explore what healing, growth, and connection look like for you.

I support adult clients with:

  • Individual and relationship counselling (couples and adult family members)

  • Emotional regulation, anger, grief, anxiety, and depression

  • Self-esteem, perfectionism, and burnout

  • Life transitions and identity exploration

  • Chronic illness and navigating health challenges (including perinatal and perimenopausal mental health)

  • Intimate partner violence and family dynamics

  • Body image, food, and disordered eating

I also integrate mindfulness and somatic awareness into sessions when helpful, supporting you in connecting not just intellectually, but with your body and emotional experience as well.

My background includes a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Sociology, along with training in Narrative Therapy Certificate Trainings Levels I & II, and completed Level 2
Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Outside of my work, you’ll often find me outdoors - cycling, walking, hiking, swimming, or hanging out with my child and dancing!

I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can connect and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.
